3 Hour AED Automated External Defibrillation Training

This course is run over 3 hours and is offered to students who have already successfully completed either the one day or three day First Aid at Work Courses.

The AED is becoming more common place in the work-place and is scientifically proven to save lives as much as an increase of survival of Cardiac Arrest by 46% until further medical treatment is given.

The course is designed to be both informal and informative with plenty of practical work.

The session will cover:

• Introduction to the AED Dangers and Hazards
• Causes of Cardiac Arrest
• Recognition of Cardiac Arrest and treatment CPR
• Setting up and using AED

At the end of the course students will be awarded a certificate of competence, which is valid for one year.
