Emergency First Aid For Motor Cyclists
Having been a Motor Cyclist for some 30 plus years and a Paramedic for many years I have been called to many RTC's (Road Traffic Collision) involving motor cycles how many times have heard “Sorry mate I did'nt see you“!. With this in mind this course is designed for groups or individual riders who may have to deal with an RTC. I would strongly recommend that Instructors and club leaders go on and complete the Full HSE 3 day course. This course will cover.- Managing an incident in remote/ non remote locations
- Causes and treatment for an unconscious causality
- Causes and treatment for a casualty who is not breathing CPR
- Safe removal of Head protection
- Control of Bleeding
- Exposure
- Fractures
- Sprain and Strains
- Areas of specific concern
- Reporting of incidents/accidents
- First aid equipment
There is no formal exam at the end of this course all students are continually assessed by the tutor and all students will be awarded a certificate on successfully completing the course to required standard.
First Aid Consultancy & Training Services will provide a manual free of charge along with this course.
The Certificate issued is valid for a period of 3 (three) years however Health and Safety do strongly recommend that training at least a half day is taken every year.
